First Post

Alright everyone. Sorry for the extremely late posting. So far everything has been awesome except for the lack of internet... the hotel is charging like.. $40HKD (roughly 6 bucks canadian).. PER HOUR for internet. So i just paid $20HKD for a drink at the local Pacific Coffee to steal their internet zone. Mel isn't here with me right now, shes out shopping with mom and refuses to answer her phone so I figured I'd get this thing started. (If the english sucks i'm not bothering to edit but we can just blame Tommy)

So I guess a little summary of the past 3 days. Our flight from Toronto was pretty nice. The rents sat in business class while we were shunned to peasent class. Dad couldn't help but rub in the fact that they had roasted duck and congee for food while we mel and I had things like Pork niblets with mystery sauce... or Eggs made with a blender and microwaved.. Nonetheless Cathay was pretty nice and I would fly with them again.

So we got to the hotel at Mong Kok and had to wait like 3 hours for our room to be ready so we just chilled at Grand Century Mall.... For Jimmy and Chris thats the mall with the giant Optimus Prime, many pictures were taken. (Update: The optimus exhibit was taken down so I managed to take a couple of the construction crew defiling Megatron's rival). That night met up with the family at a local chinese resturant.. the food was freaking awesome. Had so many things to eat... included shrips the size of my fist which are supposingly exclusive to HK. Washed it all down with some Blue Girl Beer (don't know why they dont have that in Canada, its so good, and josh... not that blue girl). It was nice to see the family again, grandma looks great and so do the aunts and uncles. I finally met my older cousin Andrew's gf and lets just say shes mad baller. She'd make Pacman jones look like its a light drizzle at the strip club (Translation for the aunts - It means shes quite "yau cheen")

With regards to shopping... everything is extermely cheap. G2000 is having like a 70% sale so its awesome. Bought a jacket, dress shirt and 2 pairs of dress pants for like $700 HKD (Ken i'm going to maxwell's next week sometime so send me your order before its too late). Just bought some limited edition Kobe Dream Season X to get ready for some Fob Ballers. Hopefully I dont get blocked by any Hongers...

Alright I have to wrap this up.. pacific coffee is kicking me off soon. So we're off to Shanghi Tomorrow.. Dad just went to buy some travel insurance because its typhooning here in HK (level 1 only think) but hopefully he won't have to use it. China hotels supposingly have free internet so we're hoping to do more daily posts. We're going to grandma's for dinner tonight so we'll have internet there so i'll try to get Mel to post for her friends and her take on the events here. We have been taking photos and Videos, all of which will be uploaded hopefully tonight. So keep your eye out here and on Facebook.
